L'un des éléments les plus caractéristiques de la série des GTA est bien entendu sa bande-son. Depuis Vice City, on peut entendre en volant des véhicules des musiques célèbres de différentes époques, et on peut dire que les développeurs ont fait de très bons choix, qui collent bien à l'ambiance des jeux.
